So, f-list, answer me these things. Or point me to the place you've already answered them. My own statement before the Spanish Inquisition is here.

9. Link me to an entry on your journal you'd like me to read/comment on.

1. Age, location, vocation?
19, Madison, Wisconsin (subject to change), soon-to-be college student.
2. Describe a bad habit of yours.
Reading. Seriously, I have been addicted -- and not in a joking way -- to reading since forever. I read instead of sleeping, doing any homework, paying attention in class, having a life . . . People say there's no such thing as reading too much. Sorry, there is.
3. What's one place you really want to visit before you die?
Um -- I really don't know. Right now I'm feeling a bit "there's no place like home" as in Alaska, but I grew up there and it's more of a feeling of going back to live there.
4. If you should pick only one, what's your favorite HP fic?
Aack! *Agonizes* Right now, I'm enthralled with rereading and obsessing over the Bittersweet Potion series, but that's subject to change . . . long-term might be different.
5. Share a dorky story about yourself.
Heh. There was this one long car ride with family, oh, shortly after OotP came out, and we were doing car games and ended up playing that game where one person names something and the next has to name something starting with the last letter of the first name. It can be done with animals, locations, proper names -- but we were doing it with Harry Potter characters, remembering all the obscure ones -- Petunia's friend Yvonne, Bulgarian Quidditch player Ivanova, old Archie in his nightgown, Mrs. Figg's cats Tibbles, Snowflake, and Mr. Paws . . . we didn't even have the books in the car with us, but we played that for a long time. Then when it finally petered out, I sat there counting alliterative names, and particularly P ones. There were a lot. *g*
6. What was your favorite toy at age 3?
Not at all sure I had one, unless one counts bedtime stories. The bedtime ritual consisted of PJs, brush teeth and all that, and then Dad would read one story and do bedsitting. He was always threatening to not do either or both if I didn't hurry up, but he told me later that although he could (and did) take away bedsitting, he only ever took away storytime once, and after the tantrum I threw he didn't quite dare try it again. (Um, yes, I did say I'd been addicted to reading since forever.)
7. At age 7?
Haha, still can't pick one.
8. What's your favorite lj community?
9. Link me to an entry on your journal you'd like me to read/comment on.
10. What are your spiritual beliefs?
I'm a pantheist. (Not to be confused with a polytheist believing in a pantheon of gods -- it's totally different.) I don't currently identify as Christian, although I was raised in a Congregational Church and may someday get around to reading large enough portions of the Bible and credible associated texts that I would feel comfortable embracing that religion. But I don't feel like I, personally, can be half-assed about it.
Pantheist is actually quite a simple concept -- it's not a religion like Christianity, Islam, Hinduism so much as a descriptive word, like atheist, agnostic, polytheist, monotheist, or Deist. Basically it comes from Greek pan, all, and theos, God and means all is God. God and the Universe are one and the same. Everything is divine.
This past year I've been trying out my maternal grandparents' religion, which is Unitarian Universalism, but I don't quite identify myself with that religion either, at least not yet. I have my spiritual beliefs mostly worked out, but I have yet to make up my mind about organized religion.

11. What is your favorite HP artwork?
I don't really go after artwork all that much. Probably something by Seviet (marta) or Lunulet.
12. Say something nice about another LJ user (not me).

13. What do you eat for breakfast?
Ha. Cold cereal, a lot. Mom always fed us oatmeal three days of the week and cream'o'wheat another two, and we all hated it but had to eat it anyway. Occasionally pancakes or waffles, when someone else makes them.
14. What's something weird you enjoy that gets you odd looks from other people?
Besides wandering around with my nose in a book? I was one of those children who are always climbing everything in sight. I still do, especially on a sugar-high. *g*

I kind of agree, being cut from the same cloth, but then... it still isn't ;). I mean I *did* wonder if I had my priorities straight when I considered breaking up with a boyfriend way back because he cut into my reading time, but then I realised I *would* rather read, and broke off anyway... Probably qualifies for yet another dorky story...
