Lots of TMIs

kennahijjaPhew, I'm finally done with the summer translation/research project, after digging through two huge rolls of microfilm of an arch-reactionary, proto-fascist 1919 newspaper for certain tidbits. It's hell on the eyes too, badly scanned, ochre-on-black, and old German print - which actually is pretty easy to read, only when it comes to last names, figuring out whether something starts with B, W, H or F still gives me trouble. Or whether we have a small l, k, f or s when the scan is somewhat wobbly anyhow... But yay, only two more pages of handwriting to decipher, and that'll be done!
Have managed to wrestle the cough to a standstill, I hope. Well, it's not gone, but better, and if I'm busy, I even forget about it for a while. Probably helped by the doctor's 'Well, this is the strongest cough syrup you'll get, and if that doesn't help, it's antibiotics.' Which I honestly can do without, even *if* they're making me pleasantly high. But I made a pretty nasty chili last night involving a lot of playing with tabasco sauce (i.e. one bite, instant heat rush), which might have helped. karaontai's special recipe, of course (it didn't burn out my taste buds, for example), but pretty nice. And the stuff *tastes* good apart from being hot! There's something to go into the next nachos for sure! Hm, being interested in food again... I must be feeling better :).
