semi-technical question for the LJ experts...

How do you do those nifty cut-and-paste inserts into a LJ entry, with html-preformatting for people to sign up to things and stuff? Am I making sense? I'd link to one, but can't find an unlocked example at the moment. Probably a dead dumb question, but I fail at the FAQ right now :(.
