A Merry Christmas/Happy Winter Solstice/Great Holiday Season

I'm looking forward to a few quiet days with family and friends and cat and books and toast and cookies and catching up with lots of fandom reading :). And perhaps one morning I'll wake up and understand the meaning of Book Seven's title. It's supposed to be the time for miracles, right?

Speaking of books, I also have to honour the Goddess of Books (whoever She is) for sending so many good things my way recently: George R R Martin's 'A Feast of Crows' (in the price-reduced box of a train station kiosk, of all places), Anne Bishops first 'Jewels' novel (which, I think, someone on my f-list squeed over recently), and, for my parents for Christmas, the *one* Modesty Blaise book they haven't read before, and that at a 40% discount from one of the local bookstores about to close (*mourns*). I'm not usually a lucky person, but books find me in strange ways :).

And I'm still owing (bad Hijja!) belated Birthday wishes to too many wonderful people: cluegirl, reposoir, mad_maudlin, stuckinsea, and narcissa_malfoy! The best of luck for the coming year, dears!
