Have a good New Years!

Happy New Year and a Good and Creative 2005 to you all!
There are a handful of people I owe very sincere thanks for putting up with/supporting me during the previous year – well, a lot, to be honest, but a few in particular:
To
chthonya for all the wonderful betas, for discussions about everything from Luciusfic to British geography, and mostly for being around. With all the best wishes for 2005, and a certain WiP…
To
fee_absinthe who is one of the most energetic, creative and plain *funny* people around. And the most dedicated – I mean who else would beta a ten-chapter fic while holidaying in Paris?
To
fpb for his support inside and outside the realm of fic-writing, and despite all the ideological knife-fights ;).
And to
hummelchen, because I realise how blessed I am to have a RL friend who will not only take apart my fics, but also lend me pornography and stay up with me until midnight to discuss psychological and sexual dynamics between fic characters…
And to everyone who wrote me drabbles or ficlets (
teawithvoldy,
leni_jess,
curia_regis,
kikei,
seventines,
xyverz and
tigra_666), and of course to
siamkatze for her wonderful piece of fanart. And to
rfachir for the wonderful Christmas present. (If I forgot someone, I deserve some first-hand experience at the receiving end of the Cruciatus Curse!).
And my 2004 Story Writing Meme
(gacked from

Stories I wrote this year:
16, mostly one-shots (still, more than I'd have thought…)
My favorite story this year (of my own):
'No Desert' (yes, it has its problems in the characterisation department, but I still like it).
My best story this year:
'Burdens', I think – readers don't seem to agree, but it's the first time I managed to write romance without writing romance, if that makes any sense…
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
In the universe? Teluekh's Nights in the Snake Pit.
Oh, you mean of mine? This year? 'And You Were Worried About Rodents?' the two last chapters (not that I blame anyone after a year's lack of updates and a pre-OotP storyline that doesn't even have sex…)
Most fun story:
'Cat!Harry!, no doubt about it ;)
Sexiest story:
'Brothers in Arms', probably :)
Story with single sexiest moment:
The third chapter of 'No Desert' – I really get off on the flashbacks :)
Hardest story to write:
'The Cat and the Star' because it refused to turn out right for six months (still doesn't make me happy), and 'But Not Forgotten' because I have no sense at all for HP/SS and it got nastier than I ever got before (noncon, chan, violence and severe mindgames). And I knew it was clichéd as I was writing…
I did a minor purge of my f-list in the ridiculous hope of getting a touch closer to 50 again… *no* harm intended! I just don't have too much time to read LJ and the attention span of a fruitbat.
