Talking about
Spoilers (*points down to previous entry*)... who on the f-list has *not* finished HBP yet? Not that I mind running
Spoilers at all, but if everyone is already drumming their nails in exasperation whenever they see them, I'll happily leave them off. Not that I wouldn't cut endless HBP waffling anyway :).
And... the solution to the
Booknerds Meme (*points down even further*):
1) And I thought that would be the easiest...
The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Always took that as *the* classic (moderate) woman's lib novel :).
2)
Wyrd Sisters, by Terry Pratchett, guessed by
narcissam.
3) As guessed by
lazy_neutrino and
chthonya, Guy Gavriel Kay's incomparable
A Song for Arbonne4) Toughest of all, I confess -
Legions of Hell by C.J. Cherryh. Part of a series, but works as standalone... The ancient heroes from Sargon of Akkad, Julius Caesar to Machiavelli building their own 'empire' in hell. Utterly amazing.
5)
frogslayr and
cordelia_v totally stumped me by detecting John M. Ford's brilliant Star Trek novel
The Final Reflection. So great to see others who're hooked on his interpretation of Klingons! ;)
