The brilliant cedarlibrarian wrote me fic!

Way back, Cedar and I both realised we had managed to miss out on the merry_smutmas signup deadline, and instead of sitting around with our ears hanging like recalcitrant house-elves, decided to do our own little one-on-one holiday fic exchange.
And this beautiful story came out of it - check out Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Acts of Duty [Harry Potter/Theodore Nott, slash, PG-13], the gorgeous, thoughtful and subtle post-war exploration of two young men scarred by war and loss.

I did ask for a Gryffindor/Slytherin match, but would have never imagined such a marvellous rarepair with convincing characterisation, lots of little canon details, and a lovely mixture of sad/hopeful atmosphere. In a quiet way, this story made my evening a very, very happy one.

And as for the What to write next? poll below, it looks as if Harry/Ron/Lucius ties with Ron/Lucius in the first spot, which allows me to work on the first without feeling guilty - it's amazing how fast handing a tricky choice over to others make crystal clear what I'd prefer to do myself. So Catching Up it is; and it's the easiest choice too, being already two thirds done :). Thanks!
