A second bunch of [livejournal.com profile] reversathon recs, way late of course, but I finally had time to read over a week in bed... or rather in nightgown in front of the computer :). And apologies that I haven't written any feedback to accompany them - I know I suck, but I'm trying to write fic which drains all my time.

The Other Woman by [livejournal.com profile] shocolate [Ron/Harry, NC-17]
Mmmh… short, very funny, with an incredible Ron-voice, the tale of one Mr Weasley suddenly realising he's lusting after his *other* best friend. And trying to keep a lid on it. And failing… This rocked my socks totally :).

The Semblance of Peace by [livejournal.com profile] maeglinyedi [Harry/Voldemort, Harry/Tom, Harry/Snape/Voldemort, NC-17]
Summary: Voldemort is finally dead, or so the wizarding world believes. Unfortunately, Harry knows better.
This is one of those long, gorgeous, plotty tales that perfectly integrate smut and plot and canon into a very *different* take on the end of the 'Voldemort War'… Not to mention that possessed!Harry is one of my all-time favourite scenarios. They just hardly ever come written as well as this.

The Better Part of Valor by [livejournal.com profile] mad_maudlin [Ron/Draco, NC-17]
Summary: Discretion is the better part of valor. But for Ron Weasley, a rash of Muggle poisonings coupled with the abrupt and disturbing return of Draco Malfoy to his life threaten to blow the lid off his best-kept secret.
Another long, plotty fic that pretty-far-in-the-closet Auror Weasley on a case-solving chase through Muggle and wizarding London, to stumble over Draco at every turn. I adore [livejournal.com profile] mad_maudlin's Ron everywhere he appears, but here he's just brilliant.

Nettle Soup and Gooseberries by [livejournal.com profile] tryfanstone [Snape/Harry, R]
Summary: An old-fashioned romance, this tale concerns the trials and tribulations of the star-crossed lovers Master Harry Potter and Professor Severus Snape, being a tale of some ingenuity and divers complication.
Even more than for the pairing/romance, I loved this fic for it's writing style and for its exposure of Severus to the pitfalls of rural Muggle village life and for the very unique 'exposing the wizarding world to Muggles' plotline. It's very funny, very sweet, thoughtful and just all-round adorable.

The House Guest by [livejournal.com profile] wildestranger [Remus/Draco, NC-17]
What I loved most about this tale of an unwanted bond turning into companionship and affection is the quiet way in which those two *very* different characters are brought together. It's wonderfully in character for both, and a rarepair I could sure read more of, if it's done this well.
