1. Whoa, there is snow! I mean *lots* of snow, enough that Hijja buried herself at home yesterday and tonight left behind her trusted bicycle for the first time in about two years and walked into town. It's majorly pretty, traffic chaos aside :). So much for whinging for weeks now that January and December felt like spring :).

2. *waves at everybody who's friended me over the last few days in speechless awe*
Welcome!

3. On Tuesday night I saw a production of Brian Friel's Checkov-adaptation 'The Bear' in the university theatre, which was so much fun! Such a great, skilful skirting around the dangerous edges of emancipation and ethnic stereotypes and sappy romance and potential datedness... It reinforced my Friel-love :).

4. *squints darkly at Gmail for being inaccessible from Europe half the time, and unreliable with emails the other half of the time*

5. Ron-lovers and drabble freaks: *points over at [livejournal.com profile] triatha_ron* where the Drabble-Fest (new prompts every Wednesday and Sunday) is in full swing. And fun - given time, I might even get a hang of drabbles, although I still fail at wordcount and spend four times the time for writing on cutting words... It's a really fun exercise, though! Open to all!

6. The PSA- people rock so much, collectively!

7. I finally squicked [livejournal.com profile] hummelchen! *is so proud*

8. What is it about snow that influences cat bladders??? Although Hexe Teh Cat refuses to set a paw outside when there's snow, she scratches like mad to be let out onto the balconies. And as soon as she's outside - one step, two steps, pause, yellow river... Maybe it's similar in appearance or texture to her cat litter? Still, it's so weird! She's grounded inside now - again! :(
