I'm quite surprised at the idea of Slytherins as chaotic- if anything I'd have thought that proto-academics would be the chaotic ones, and the Slytherins the pragmatic ones. That would also make Slytherin and Gryffindor direct opposites, rather than the moral/rational sides of chaotic behaviour.
