Alex Rider Beta?
Um, would somebody be interested in beta-reading 23,000 words of Alex Rider fic (i.e. my spy_fest contribution that would very much benefit from a second pair of eyes with better English than mine)? Yassen/Alex, NC-17 (but not too much of it), with quite a bit of violence. Anyone?
Not that I'd blame you for rapidly backtracking in the opposite direction ;).
Off to bed now.

I'm about 150 pages into Crocodile Tears right now and noooooooo! I don't want it to end! Mainly because I don't already have Scorpia Rising in my hands, of course. And OMG, I loved Snakehead, although it really really creeped me out, too!
Spent the whole day yesterday reading on the ARchive and adding stories to my favourites. Will have to remember to comment on second reading. *g*

Snakehead was pretty evil and really good, I thought (poor Alex - at least in HP, his godfather turned out to be one of the good guys!).
Are you coming to DiaconAlley later this month? Because if you do, and still don't have Scorpia Rising, I'd give you my copy (not that I disliked it that much or anything, but I'm moving back to Germany in November, and am trying to cut down on books to transport, and well, that'd be a better way than many).

Of course, one morbid part of me now wishes for fanfiction where exactly that happens. Maybe not to the bitter end, but lets say Alex didn't get away in time and they had actually done the eye surgery, Ash hadn't disabled the transmitter and Ben & the rescue team had picked him up almost right after that...and now Alex has to deal with being alive and blind.
Nope, I won't be at DiaconAlley - but I do plan on going to Scotland in September. *g* I'm already eyeing the various offers on amazon, though thank you for the offer. ♥
Are you looking forward to returning to Germany?

Pity about Diacon! But if you happen to come through Edinburgh and want to go for a cup of coffee or something, drop me a note :).
