Sorry for the way!lateness of reply here... I get your wariness of hatesex - I love it to bits, but it's not everybody's thing certainly :).
Turnabout- its made them into hypocrites hasn't it? THe darker side of that righteous Gryffindor rage, which tends to be so self serving. Yes - I think that's exactly what I wanted to get across. It made them in a way like James and Sirius with Snape, only worse.
In a way, I thought Ron was less vindictive than Harry - not physically but emotionally; he doesn't second-guess and think about things as much, and would probably just consider it tit for tat...
