A very risky pact makes Lucius 'protect' his son's lover in a very roundabout way from his Master and his fellow Death Eaters. A thoroughly amazing piece, with wonderful characterisations, utterly hot H/L smut, and a perfectly devious plot. Sequel toleni_jess's brilliant stories Magnanimity [HP/DM; NC-17] and Resolution [HP/LM, HP/DM; NC-17] (which I can't possibly recommend highly enough as well).
