It's only that I rarely find my own sex scenes hot at all (at least after they're written), and here I was in a total 'I'll go through with that and if it kills me' mindset that alienated me even more. I even *liked* how Lucius turned out in this, although generally I see him as a bastard, but not as a quite so... physical one?
