We met way back on the Beloved Enemies Yahoo Group and managed to stay in contact ever since, and I'm extremely happy that she finally caved in to the pressure that is LJ :).

It's going to be continued :). I'm sitting on the second chapter right this moment, and promised Erin a beta at the weekend (this week's *mad*, I tell you!).

I know of someone whose LJ has been "gone" for four years now.

Funny thing, that. I understand the need to shed one's skin, especially if the things you were once doing no longer hold your interest. Then you come back to lurk, or make new friends in a new fandom, with a new name. I doubt I'll ever do it. I may fade away eventually or some such, but I'm not one to 'avoid' in RL or whatever you want to call it. Unless it became a legal issue, I don't see myself in that position.
