Interrogation Meme and Niffle Recs

Ah, the Interrogation Meme... If you want to grill me, grill me here ;).
Your fellow Livejournalers will get to ask something that they've always wanted to know about you (no limitations, really). It can be something completely random, or something they've been too scared to ask for a while now. Whatever it is, you have to answer.
And I've been picked as a lucky Senior Niffler for FA a while back (i.e. those who do a bit of reccing while the regular Nifflers do the full workload). Here's a list of my first five picks:
The Symmetry of Absence by
balfrog [R, slash, Snape/Draco/Harry] --> Niffle (rec)
Patron - Saint by
underlucius [R, slash, Regulus/Lucius] --> Niffle (rec)
Kailash, When It Rises by
mirasfic [PG, preslash, Harry/Draco] --> Niffle (rec)
A Spirit of Brotherhood by
flambeau [PG, gen, Snape, Remus, Sirius] --> Niffle (rec)
The Tao of Job by
mad_maudlin [R, slash, Percy/Harry] --> Niffle (rec)
*rushes off in search of cool het/gen fic, and to finish betaing*

Date: 2006-03-21 11:38 am (UTC)The negative side of my het: well... none of it actually has a storyline. Or accurate characterisation. Hell, most of the time I mispelled the title.
oy and rec!

Date: 2006-03-21 12:42 pm (UTC)I choose to interrogate you here. And my questions are:
1. Why don't you write Snape *really*?
2. Aren't you just slightly tempted to write Malfoycest?
3. Have you written HP fic in a language other than English? If not, how come?
4. What are you vain about (surely everyone has somethng ...)?
5. How do you like your coffee?

Date: 2006-03-21 01:49 pm (UTC)1. I can't, *really* :). I don't manage to crawl into his headspace, and don't know where his loyalties lie, and what his motivations and real feelings are. Even when I show him from the outside, I either make him too nice (Art of War, Adoration) or too evil (But Not Forgotten, No Desert). I love how he can be interpreted so differently, but I need a 'core' to write someone's PoV...
2. Not much... they're too alike, and I need more conflict in my pairings... I could imagine Malfoycest involving a third party, though :).
3. Nope. My German writing style is atrocious. Ok, my English one is nothing to write home about either, but at least it's recognisable as a style.
4. If anything, than my fics :). If that qualifies as 'vain'?
5. Medium-strong, hand-brewed with a sprinkle of cinnamon if I'm in the mood, with milk and no sugar on pain of death ;).
