Kenna Hijja was my longstanding character in an old, old RPG I grew up with – my best friend and myself used to recreate the Klingon Empire. And I honestly don't remember where the name itself came from. Perhaps a book, perhaps just my strange brain... At different stages of life, KH was a terrorist, a communications officer, starship captain and spy, and on my mind for pretty much over a decade. So adopting it as an alias felt natural, because she's not someone I'm likely to get bored with. Woe, I just realised she's the ultimate Mary Sue ;).

Tagging ten people I'm deeply curious about and haven't seen doing it so far... waterbird, sylvanwitch, sulla_, ryf (the new one), sor_bet, rantipole, masterofmercury, manraviel, hibernater and annephoenix. And everybody else who feels like it, of course. Only if you feel like it, evidently!

This story bears a remarkable similarity to how my screen name came to be! The only difference is that my friend and I recreated the Silmarillion :D And that your name is more original - but what do you expect of a twelve year old ;)

I always thought 'Mieronna' very pretty, although I didn't make the connection to Tolkien :). People seem to do that recreating a lot, don't they?

Ok, I'll post an explanation! Your Mary Sue is interesting, though. XD I don't much mind her breed if their perfect adventures that they always succeed in are interesting enough :)

It wasn't quite so bad. She effed up rather regularly :). Sometimes I think I write so much dark because in our 'recreation dynamics' I thought up the disasters and evil villains, and my partner set upon redeeming them :). My fics just lack that dash of redemption.

Ah, I never thought of your stories that way- the lack of redemption- very interesting. That sort of simplifies things, actually. I hadn't found a definable common thread yet; this is a new idea I'll have to keep in mind next time. XD

That's of course Klingons before the dramatic forehead lot of TNG. We picked up John M. Ford's amazing novel "The Final Reflection" and studied it like the bible :).

I was desperate. Originally, I wanted to use my username from other forum or some other really cool names, but it's too long/in used/blah. And after the thousandth try, I just typed any word that came to mind and there you go. Pretty boring. ;p

Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this! I'm named after Lucius Cornelius Sulla, Consul and first true Dictator of Rome. More on him here. I feel in love with him after reading The First Man In Rome by Colleen McCullough. He wasn't a nice guy, but he was gay as gay can be, and a Roman of the late Republic... and it doesn't hurt that he was hot! Well, in his youth at least :)
