On Wednesday evening, I met with the_dark_twin in 'S-Town'... and found out that she's even more nice and lively and thoughtful in person than on LJ/email :). We went through the obligatory losing our way that everybody who's ever met me has probably experienced, but then settled down in a lovely tea/coffee place and chatted for three hours about everything from RL to the dynamics of Sirius/Remus to the appeal (or lack thereof) of Ron/Lucius. And tons of other stuff ;). It was great fun, enhanced by the timely appearance of the perfect Lucius Malfoy/Isaacs pony tail in the near vicinity :). And I found it amazingly easy to discuss the personal/emotional appeal of darkfic writing - though it sure opened my eyes about the possible consequences of writing character deaths (*snickers*).

We had to set out on the way back home way too early, and I sincerely hope we can repeat that meeting - minus the unnecessary round trip, that is :). Especially since the discussion on the platform got really interesting. ..

Waiting for my own train, I even managed to pick up Cantarella 10, which I'm looking forward to devouring tonight as soon as I get home.

Ron/Lucius... you know, I'd never thought that anyone would be able to make that pairing make even the tiniest amount of sense to me. But the first step is made now. *g*

Especially since the discussion on the platform got really interesting. ..

I'll certainly be picking up Freud's Traumdeutung when I'm in town tomorrow.


And yes, I really hope that we can repeat that meeting some time in the not too distant future! :)
