*waves fist at LJ* Help!!!

I tend to rely entirely on the top links bar of LJ to navigate - the one that has my own link, posting and friendspage option, etc. And now it's just plain white whenever I move away from my main LJ page or f-list view... plain white on top, weirdness at the bottom. It's driving me nuts! Is there any way to restore things to normal?

Well, it's still there on my main LJ page and the main friends page, but as soon as I click on a cut or hit reply or try to post, it's gone...

I think I mean the nav bar... And weirdly enough, though I did nothing to the setup at all, at times it seems to reappear again. Just not always... This is so weird.

I think there's a checkbox that you have to check to make it appear on every page in this viewing setting. :)

Or the person that you're reading their entry didn't check the option to show the navbar to their friends.

That might be it - it would explain why it's not a general phenomenon. Oh well - I'll get over it ;). Thanks for clearing things up.

... I know I am new to this, but did you try changing your page layout??? Maybe it needs to be refreshed or re-introduced every once in a while. Maybe you just need to pick a different one. Unfortunatley these things change all the time -- puter: can't live ith them, can't live without them. Just like men (for some of us).
And yes I have to leave my two cents on nearly everything, kicher.;-)

Knuts, dear, Knuts :). And you're spot on about the layout thing, if definitely not on the men! I think I'll settle for glowering at the screen and hope it'll go away.

I think if you go to your user info, to the Edit Settings link at the top, the navbar settings are on there. Make sure the option to have it displayed everywhere is selected.

Those are on (I checked that) - but as masterofmercury suspects, it might have to do with people having disabled the navbar from their end. I'll survive - it's just such a neat way of jumping around quickly :).
