Exchange Fest Pimp!

I hope the lot of you aren't getting all twitchy at the mention of 'anonymous exchanges' from trying to follow everything that's being posted right now and wishing for a time turners to be able to :).

BUT... [livejournal.com profile] springtime_gen will be running a new fest/exchange in early 2007, for which signups have started today (and will be running until January 5).

It's GEN! There's never enough GEN. You know you want to do it! *squints at some prime candidates on the f-list*
(Yup, people were mad enough to let me help with the modding. No, that's not an excuse to scream and run!)

Sign up here.

Argh! I didn't realise you were posting quite so soon, and I've been out every night this week and the terminals at work don't allow cut-and-paste and I didn't want to login as chthonya on a shared terminal where I couldn't clear history and besides I wanted to see if there was a way to make those little textboxes bigger. And there is. But now I'm too late. :(

For future reference, though, its:

I don't know about Springtimegen - it's a bit soon after, and a bit similar to, the Christmas gen challenge, and I still have a backlist of challenge inspired fics I'd like to get on with, not to mention Invictus...

In future years, perhaps it would be better to move springtime gen to summertimegen? Otherwise we have two major gen challenges following on quite closely. Though I suppose others find it easier to write to challenges than I do...

So I'll probably decline this time, and regret it like mad when the results are in! :)

Um ... maybe I'm reading this the wrong way, but the people who sign up get the text of a requested prompt, right? Is it just me, or does the fact that the signup posts are viewable by all make the anonymity a bit pointless in that case (as you could go and look up who you were writing for)?

I'm there! My first fic exchange.

I solemly predict that I will be the first person to bow out, though, as I'm crap at writing to prompts. :p
