Virtual hugs of the "squirming madly and struggling for breath"-type to the wonderful person who's gifted me six months of paid time on Insanejournal! That had me in tears for a moment - OMG, you're awesome! Thanks *so* much!

In the vein of more good news, IJ has further upped friends for free accounts (from 250 to 1000) and added more style options. Read here.

This winter's (and the last, *sobs*) merry_smutmas will also run on IJ, and infos (though not signup) are out here.

The sister fest harry_holidays has opened signups, which will remain open until the Smutmas Lottery is over.

Heh - this is the first time, I think, that I've seen Xmas Fest info before seeing the first gingerbread in the supermarkets :). Can't be long now!

Did you read IJ's TOS??? They are no different than the ones on LJ. I really see the same problem arising in IJ as in LJ. Sorry. Someone will look (not IJ), will find it offensive (if not put to friends only), report it and then IJ might have to take the same actions as LJ did. With or without warning. Just read their TOS. The same laws that apply to LJ also apply to IJ -- so I don't see a difference....

Ah, but you see, the TOS are the same pretty much everywhere. My problem starts when said TOS are altered *and* violated at the same time without anybody being able to find out what's going on before they're thrown out...

As for IJ, what makes me happy is this.

Sounds good -- but (I know you hate this word :-)) they also say that they (IJ) can change the TOS without notice any time they like. Just saying -- You know for me the glass is always half-empty :-).
So, if I want to read your "stories" I have to get an accout over there????? Just wondering....

Nah, not yet - I'll crosspost everything to here for the moment :). Yah, the TOS changing is also normal, but... I still hope that if it happens, it won't be along the lines of "We'll change the TOS but we won't tell you. We'll suspend you, but we won't tell you". :(.

Yeah, I'm annoying, I know :). And I still want to hear your response to DH :).

Thanks!!! She is sooo cute -- just today she was trying to catch the steam coming out of the diswasher.
I haven't gotten to far with DH yet -- time seems to be slipping away from me (ducks and rans)-- there seems to be not enough time right now. Too many things going on at the moment (sigh).....

I don't participate in smutmas -- too much stuff to read that time of year -- but why will it be the last? Because everyone is fleeing lj or because HP has ended? I hate the idea that fandom will start to shrink now that the series has ended. :-(

And I'll friend you at ij, even though I'm not really using it yet.
