leni_jess wrote me an amazing Harry/Lucius drabble which pushed all my buttons, here.
Since I had time over Christmas to get around to a few longer things on my to-read list:

Remus. Sirius. A happy ending. Set after OotP.
Hah! Whoever said Sirius returning from behind the veil fics are bad? This is the perfect (in every respect) counter example. Trust me - read.
Severus and the Crup by Josan [R; slash, HP/SS]
The final battle against Voldemort has robbed Britain of its magic - and Severus Snape lives the life of a recluse in the Scottish highlands until a certain - green-eyed - crup comes into his life. Josan's story of the rebuilding of magical Britain between the few surviving wizards and witches from both sides of the former 'divide' is worth reading whether you like the ship or not.
Clipped Wings by Theresa Ann Wymer [R; slash, HP/SS]
After catastrophe, Harry deals with survivor's guilt and finds hope for himself and others.
After Voldemort, the Muggle world has wiped out the magical one, and only Harry has escaped unscathed. The best portrayal of Dudley I've *ever* seen, and a storyline that reduced me to tears (of fury as much as sadness...).
Scratch by Aucta Sinistra [NC-17; slash, HP/SS]
Nah, I don't love this just because there is a cat :). It's one of those long, satisfying Snape-teaches-Harry-the-Dark-Arts fics with a credible build-up, realistic plotline and excellent characterisation, which are just a joy to read.
And can someone tell me why, of all slash pairings, it's the Harry/Snape shippers that write the most amazing, highest-quality novel(la)-length stories on such a regular basis? There are beautiful stories about all kinds of pairings, but the HP/SS writers seem particularly awesome. Is that my imagination, or is there something to it?
