How to properly praise a fic that opens with: When Harry Potter Apparated at the Hogwarts gates, he hugged a tree, and contains lines like Professor Severus Snape looked as he always had: a cross between a vampire and a vampire's worst nightmare? *And* which has a great Lucius Malfoy! This blew me away – brilliant writing, excellent characterisation, funny as all get out... what more can you ask for?
