Squee! Two lovely people just did translations for me!

June Chang translated Even Lovers Drown and Property Is Theft into Chinese, and yumeko translated Even Lovers Drown into Italian. Which is so great because I can (very rudimentarily) read it, and Malfoy dialogue in Italian just *sounds* cool ;-).

I'm always so utterly gobsmacked to see someone willing to translate one of my pitiful fics, considering how many better stories are out there. Thank you both!

And just to list all of them in a single post, in 2003 two lovely, generous people translated two of my fics into Russian: Rita (Ireth) did a translation of A Fragile Thing and Lisa translated So You Want to Go to Hogwarts?.

time for another Solemn Wow

Boldness referring to my own recent sins only!

I, kennahijja, do hereby promise not to sink anyone’s ship (not that they'd let me). I will allow everyone to revel in their OTP no matter how stupid I find it (even if it involves Hagrid). I will not mock anyone’s favorite pairings in my journal, even if the mere thought of said pairings gives me kidney stones (like Draco/Ginny). I also ask that you respect my OTP (Harry/Lucius and Lucius/Ron) even if your kidney stones are bigger than mine (I'll apologise in a non-guilty way, though!). I *will* playfully tease my flist and ask that they playfully tease me back. I can take a joke (or ten).
I promise to allow my flist their opinions even if I think they’re out of their frickin’ minds. I may state my own opinion in a clear and logical manner and present my views in a mature way. Stop laughing, I can be mature (occasionally. Like on 29 February). What’s so funny? (Yes - what?)
I promise to accept new cannon even if my favorite character is killed (with said cannon?). I may sulk for a few days, wear black and listen to Tori Amos on a continual loop for a bit (nope - no Tori Amos, even if HBP ends in the Hogwarts Cannon Massacre!), but I’ll get over it.
I will not speak badly about anyone else in fandom, no matter how annoying I find them. I will reserve my tirades and personal attacks for my family, my co-workers, politicians, celebrities and assorted numbnuts. There are soooooo many people in this world to mock with abandon, why limit myself.
I will not wank (and will even try to stay off the wanklets. I may read other’s wank because I am a nosy bastard, but I will not add to it -- I don’t have that kind of time. (I also don’t think all wank is bad. Heck, some of it cracks me up.)
I will continue to write even if only one person ever reads my crap. I will not have a tantrum if my fic is not rec’d. I may sulk for a few days, wear black and listen to Tori Amos on a continual loop for a bit, but I’ll get over it (augh! not again!).
I will continue to read fics because I like them. They are the reason I’m here and as long as people are producing interesting work, I’ll stick around. I’ll read some of the bad ones too, but I won’t like. Okay, I might like it, but I’ll never admit to it (nah, I will admit - I'm into self-humiliation big time)!
I will promote fics and artwork that I like. I will promote discussions I find interesting. I will remember the reason I’m here in the first place.
When I find that I can no longer remain in this fandom and live by these simple rules I will eat some cake, throw away all my Tori Amos CDs (at last!), get over myself because no one really cares and then get on with my life.
So help me (whatever deity has not fallen asleep by now, reading this).
