OMG, so much fun!

Joss Wheedon certainly lives up to his reputation... Some excellent tunes too. And I had some definite BtVS vibes especially about wanting to become the evil overlord :).

I agree the first two episodes were cute and fun, but the third one was a letdown. I expect more from Joss than 'OMG two jerks fighting over a girl, who isn't even allowed to be a real character then she dies'.

Dunno... the third part I found slightly less exciting than the other two, but I liked the resolution - it's a superhero comic spoof, and as such, it works very well. And a happy ending would have been really, really weird with two jerks. She certainly had more depth than 'Captain Hammer'. Not that characterisation is the point of something like this...

If I put on my feminist goggles I can see where people are coming from, but unless it's negative stereotyping as opposed to not very progressive stereotyping of female characters (and, after reading Ursula LeGuin's 'Earthsea' trilogy recently and having a fit of rage, believe me, there's a difference between the two) I can't bring myself to artificially lessening my enjoyment of something unless there's a real good reason. And this... nah!
