Favourite Line of the Year!

... for altogether too many reasons.

"Anyone who wants to attend a training course on how ISBN numbers relate to trans-book travel, see the cat for details."

(though the series has one running gagquote that tops even that)

Which series is that? And which running gag?

Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next books, starting with 'The Eyre Affair'. My top favourite is the books' illustrated advertisements of "Take your holidays in the Socialist Republic of Wales - not always raining!"

Jasper Fforde? Love that series. I can't think which running gag you mean, though, haven't read it for a while.

The holiday ads for the Socialist Republic of Wales - those slay me completely :).

Oh god, yes! Love them. Such a genius series. Although I started the most recent one, where Friday is a teenager and I didn't make much progress with it, although I was fairly distracted at the time. Have you read it? Is it worth starting again?

If you want to know the true meaning of TK MAX, most certainly!
