Status Update and Ficlet Beta Quest

Ah, back home in Scotland after a prolonged and pretty exhausting day of travel (and heck, I don't usually feel sick on a plane, but...). My mum's with me until mid-August, so I probably won't have that much net time, especially next week when we're off visiting the Islands...

Am missing Hexe Teh Cat, karaontai and hummelchen somewhat painfully! :(

That said, would anyone be interested in looking over less than 1700 words of very gen little!Teddy meets Draco Malfoy? I should have back, well, Friday evening, akshually. Post locked for related reasons of sekritcy :). Any takers? *inserts puppy eyes*

Oh, lovely! Which of the islands are you going to visit?

Mainly Mull and Iona, I think :). I just hope the weather agrees!

Oh, I hope that, too! When I was on Mull and Iona (and Staffa - I did the Three Isles Tour starting from Oban) it started raining half-way through - shortly after we left Staffa. And it kept raining until we came back to Oban again in the evening.

I'll have to come back again and spend a bit more time on Mull. *sigh* This is the second year in row I didn't get to go to Scotland and it's frustrating me to no end!

I'm so hoping the weather will play along! I've been to Mull before, and it was stunningly beautiful in sunshine.

Right now I'm thinking about making a short trip early September. Or around Christmas/New Year. I claimed vacation days right at the beginning of the year, and so far they are still untouched. I used up all my other vacation days already.

I already had plans for those days, but Scotland definitely has a higher priority. Right now, spending 04.09. - 07.09. in/around Edinburgh seems like a good idea to me. *g* I'll keep watching the Lufthansa page - if there's suddenly a drop in prices again, I'm going to do it.
