Note To Self: *Don't* wear your Spanish pyramid earrings together with a long lace-type scarf! They'll tangle, it's inevitable. And you look so bloody *stupid* with your ear stuck like that!
But... I realise I slept right through (well, hung in bed reading Tamora Piece's Alanna-quartet for the umpteenth time) Beta Appreciation Day. So here is
BELATED BETA APPRECIATION NIGHT!
Yep, it's a *long* list that should probably go under LJ-cut, but they're all too wonderful to deserve Teh Cut!

chthonya and lazy_neutrino. I don't deserve you. Heck, *no one* deserves you!
A basketful of whipped whelps toannephoenix because I can come to her with *anything*, no matter how disturbing, without feeling nervous.
More huggles toseventines, who is always supportive and spot-on and faster than a Romulan warp drive, and to fee_absinthe with her knack for spotting things I fail to see, to ariss_tenoh, for being lovely and offering a hand whenever I'm ready to panic, and to leni_jess for being the most incredible grammar whizz and a masterful Harry/Lucius characterisation expert ;).
And lots of gold-tassled scarlet carpets foramanuensis1 to walk on, whom I only dare ask for serious smut, because it will take her away from writing her own gorgeous stuff.
And finally, semi-naked BtVS actors forhummelchen, because she reads everything I ask her to, and always offers perceptive plot input even if we don't always agree ;).
And one final group hug tothe_dark_twin, waterbird, isiscolo, adela711, spookykat and esmeraraldo for helping out in dire straits!
Gods - considering that this only covers the last year, I *really* owe debts to a *lot* of people, and am too lucky for words. I *do* love you all, which I hope you know! *sniffles*

I was lucky enough to meet chthonya two weeks ago for a day. And she's just as nice as I remembered from accio, and just as clever, and fiercely passionate about the things that matter to her. Which leaves me with two questions:
Why don't I know more people like this in real life and why on earth can't all my LJ friends just move to my village? Heaven on earth...

No, seriously, I only covered the last year, and only full beta-readings (leaving out everyone who left comments no matter how useful, because then it would have been absolutely huge - and bloody hard to trace back).
