Just to alert y'all to the Unloved Ships Challenge, the brilliant conclusion to [livejournal.com profile] mctabby's shower of Shipping Polls.

Choose from a selection of anti-ships (Draco/Crabbe/Goyle, Draco/Hermione/Pansy, Harry/Tonks, Hermione/Rita, Lucius/Ron, Remus/Molly, Snape/Peter); due date: March 8.

Of course I'm not *completely* without an ulterior motive here, considering that one of my two OTPs (i.e. Ron/Lucius) is currently heading the list of 'most hated' ships... *grumbles loudly*. I mean, come on - is it worse than Remus/Molly? I mean... really! :).

Still, if there's the promise of *fic* dangling over our collective twitchy noses...
And I find the idea of Hermione/Rita darn hot too!

I'm really hoping to write some of the Draco/Crabbe/Goyle, but I think that's probably cheating because I love that ship! :)

It's fun, and I've seen a (small) handful of really good fics :). Seeing you write it would be wonderful!

As soon as I saw this list I thought of you! I'm appalled that the Ron/Lucius pairing has been met with such little appreciation! COME ON! Harry/Tonks or Remus/Molly are far worse!

I find it terribly amusing ;). Remus/Molly scares me (of course I'd read it, but only for the novelty value...). I don't find Harry/Tonks bothersome, only one example of 'het that's not my cup of tea' among others. But not specifically squicky. And I swear I don't see what's scary about Draco/Hermione/Pansy... I just haven't seen it before. I'd sure read it! :)

Harry/Tonks bothers me and I can't really explain why because I don't hate Tonks. Hum. I'm with you on the Draco/Hermione/Pansy thing though, that could be good. I read a great Harry/Draco/Hermione ages ago, not sure I marked it, damn.

I concur with the Hermione/Rita sentiment, but I'm surprised at the Harry/Tonks hate. Remus/Molly and Snape/Peter are far more unsettling.

I've seen a few good (and convincing) Snape/Peters, and am with you on the 'huh?' about Tonks/Harry... He even had a tiny touch of a crush on her in OotP, right (or was that my imagination)?

Heretic! ;)
I've collected all R/L fics I know a while back, here.

Hmmm...I don't see how any of those ships are 'unloved'. You know, this fandom ships anything, really....I know I do. I thought about you when I saw 'Lucius/Ron' by the way.

And I've thought about Hermione/Rita...a bit of revenge for the jar thing.

I *like* it that people think of me when thinking Ron/Lucius... must have something to do with excessive pimping ;).

And I've thought about Hermione/Rita...a bit of revenge for the jar thing.
*grin*
Weird minds think alike - I've *just* started that very plot this morning. There really should be a lot more of this pairing out there :).
