Exchange Fest Pimp!

I hope the lot of you aren't getting all twitchy at the mention of 'anonymous exchanges' from trying to follow everything that's being posted right now and wishing for a time turners to be able to :).

BUT... [livejournal.com profile] springtime_gen will be running a new fest/exchange in early 2007, for which signups have started today (and will be running until January 5).

It's GEN! There's never enough GEN. You know you want to do it! *squints at some prime candidates on the f-list*
(Yup, people were mad enough to let me help with the modding. No, that's not an excuse to scream and run!)

Sign up here.

Yeah, I know it's until April, it's just that for me it would be repeating the same challenge. If I'd been writing smut for Christmas probably doing a gen exchange would feel more refreshing than it does.

So, maybe it'll be Invictus after all. Plus the other three challenge fics I didn't get written...

Something else that occured to me last night was that you might want to be more upfront on the comm about who is moderating - in that poll I did a while ago people seemed to be motivated to get involved with a challenge if they knew and/or respected the people who were running it or participating in it.

Heh, the mod secret wasn't intentional - just a matter of over-eagerness and overlooking some things. It's there now to scare off potential participants ;).

Re: Screening requests (below). Personally, I find it very intriguing to have them for all to see (and puzzle, though apart from two, perhaps three, I'm completely adrift in this year's smutmas or harrhols, or holidaygen...). But mostly we decided on unscreened to give the newbies a guideline on how things should look like.

Weird about those challenges, really - you didn't get some written, I dragged one single piece two weeks over the deadline, and suddenly I'm productive... could've used that two months ago!

And as always, *whatever* you do is going to be interesting ;).
