Page Three Man by
pushdragon [PG-13-ish, filk]
The fictional response of Tom Felton to the publication of the Equus-pictures... A hysterically funny and incredibly well-done filk after Dr Seuss's 'Green Eggs and Ham'. I'm not among the agog-over-the-pictures crowd at all, but they'd have their justification for producing *this* alone.
Mid-afternoon in the Garden of Evil by
fleshdress [Lucius/Sirius, NC-17, short]
Summary: Erm... there's Lucius, and Sirius and it's raining and there's... not much plot!
Lucius promises the Black parents to turn their eldest into a proper little son... A lovely short piece full of atmosphere, sensuality, beautiful images and mindgames. And don't trust the summary here – there's lots of plot!
Walk On by
mizbean [Ron/Draco/Harry, NC-17, one-shot]
Summary: Ron learns letting go of the one you love is the only way to move forward...
A tense, very angst-ridden and still tender and hot threesome fic that pulls off intense emotions without getting 'dramatic' in the least. One of my greatest 'kinks' (if that qualifies) is sex used in the service of characterisation, and this is a brilliant example.
Train Songs by
schemingreader [Harry/Snape, NC-17, long one-shot]
Summary: After the war is over, Harry and Severus meet on the train from Paris to Istanbul. Since neither has anywhere to go, should they go together?
There are so many good recent long 'Snarries' out there it's hard to pick. This one stands out with a unique setting: after Voldemort's defeat, Snape escapes real and imaginatory enemies in a hidden magical train compartment. Harry draws him out. It's a perfect mix of sweetness, hotness and anguish, with gorgeous writing and great Harry-and-Snape characterisation.
Good Deeds and Sucker Punches by
slinkiestumble [Millicent/Percy, PG-13, longer one-shot]
Millicent is one of my favourite characters, and rarely have I read a story that did her... prickly... personality as much justice as this (and Percy too). A great take on awkward characters, awkward friendships-and-more, and the Weasley family dynamic. Just perfect characterisation and great fun!
An Introductory Course on Inter-House Relations by
xylodemon [Blaise/Draco, Blaise/Neville, NC-17, one-shot]
Summary: Blaise doesn't think there's anything wrong with not wanting to get involved.
Heh! Blaise's voice here - dripping sarcasm, extremely funny and looking at our heroes in a very different way - is priceless. The writing just shines, and the Blaise/Neville (thumbs up for rarepairs) is handled extremely well.
And a final note from one cat to the other:
*huggles*
karaontai! You made me sniffle and die from cuteness :).
